Installation is straightforward and non-intrusive. Calibration is then performed using your own product samples to ensure accuracy. Most systems are up and running in just a few days. Our analyzers are designed to measure organic materials, including powders, granules, slurries, and solids in motion. The accuracy of inline NIR measurement depends on several factors, including the quality of the calibration, the homogeneity of the product, and the stability of in-process conditions. Unlike a laboratory instrument, which analyzes a single prepared sample, NIR technology performs continuous, real-time measurements directly on the product flow — without sampling.
In this context, accuracy is evaluated in terms of Standard Error of Prediction (SEP) compared to a reference method, rather than repeatability on a static sample. Based on our experience a well-calibrated system can typically achieve a SEP of ±0.1% to ±0.2%.
Repeatability is generally very high, since each reading reflects the average of multiple rapid scans, reducing random variation and improving measurement stability.
